Ceramic Artist looking to improve your photography skills? You have come to the right place.

About

This website's main goal is to improve your photography skills when looking to build a more professional portfolio. The information is focused on shooting photos of three dimensional objects, primarily pottery. However, this information could be applied to any medium to small object you wish to document. If you are new to using a camera or using Photoshop, this will also be a good start and base to your knowledge!

You may navigate the website as you please, but if you looking for a run-through of the whole site, proceed with the following.

- Start by learning basic camera functions in the Camera Settings Page.

- Next, Choose either Natural Lighting or Studio Lighting with Backdrop in the Photo Shoot Settings drop down menu. These pages will lead you through tutorials on how to shoot in either setting.

- Then go the Photoshop and Editing page for a step by step tutorial on how to edit photos on Adobe Photoshop.

- If you need to find a link that was somewhere within the site, or would like to look into an artist(s) found in the tutorials, go to the pages Resources and Links or Artists.

A Special Thanks to the IAC

iac_4c_print.jpg

Receiving a project grant through the Indiana Arts Commission (IAC) has made this website possible! After taking the On-Ramp Accelerator course, all of the artists/creatives were offered an opportunity to apply for a project grant. I was lucky enough to be a recipient!

If you are a Creative looking to advance your knowledge as an entrepreneur, you should look into the IAC course On Ramp Creative Entrepreneur Accelerator.

Click HERE to get Info on the course.

From there you can view an overview of course, past cohorts (including myself), offered fellowships, and applications/deadlines.

Thanks again IAC and everyone one involved!
